steps to our boys

we are in a LONG waiting process right now...we turned in our paperwork a month ago and were told it would be 7-9 months until we hear anything...that seems like a REALLY long time.

BUT

we've been doing a LOT to prepare for these sweet boys!

FIRST - we have a BIG opportunity to announce tomorrow! don't miss it! SO exciting!!!

AND

i have lots to share of what we've been doing in our home.
it was kind of a chain reaction thing...we needed beds for our new boys AND bailey was still in her toddler bed and needed a bed AND sawyer would need a bed soon.

plus we had been saving to replace the carpet upstairs since we moved in here.

AND we had just left the rooms the colors they were when we moved in.

SO - we decided to basically re-do all the kids rooms and have them they way we want them for the foreseeable future.

it's been a LOT of work. and money.
but it's DONE.

we started all of this at the beginning of the year.
the first project was our bathroom...remember??

i often think about how i'm "different" than i used to be...how God has changed my heart in ways that affect my everyday life and this whole process made that clear once again.

a few years ago i would have LOVED this whole idea/project.
i would have embraced it and dreamed about it and loved every step.
i wouldn't say i hated it - but i didn't love it.
i did hate spending the money.
but i wanted each kids' room/space to be theirs and to somehow show them my love for them by making it theirs.
so, money was spent.
a LOT of time and energy was used.
and i do love how it all turned out.
and so do they!

mostly, i'm glad it's DONE!

i'll be going room by room as i get the chance to take pictures and blog about it!

Oh I can't wait to see pictures!!! I just love making over a room. I'm working on our downstairs bathroom right now. I think I'm just going to stay up late and try to get it done without kids around.
