lincoln

oh, this boy. we trust that God knows what He's doing, but we have more questions than conclusions with him so far!

he's about to be 9 years old.

he went back to school this year after being homeschool for 1 1/2 years. he had the BEST teacher. she was PERFECT for him. he struggled, but she couldn't have been a better match for him.

everywhere we go, he is the one that people are attracted to. he has a dynamic personality and couldn't be any cuter with those glasses!

he loves to read. and do puzzles. he tends to be a bit of a loner, but I can relate to needing some space in this big, crazy family of ours!

Lincoln continues to struggle with lots of anxiety issues. this effects LOTS of areas of his life, as he has a hard time ever relaxing and trusting anyone around him. in turn, it makes it hard for US to relax around him.

he isn't growing like he "should" and we've been to countless doctors to try to figure it out. so far, all tests come back "normal." and we have no answers. I have my own "gut" conclusion, but i'm not a doctor. the good thing is that he's happy, healthy, eats well (!!) and drinks plenty. we pray that his spirit can relax at some point and allow his body to work the way it's supposed to!

he's VERY sensitive. always seems to be crying or complaining about something. we are working on that, for sure! he just kinda goes through life and makes things HARD.

his favorite possession is his watch. he keeps us on track ;-)

overall, this past year was a pretty good year for Lincoln (in relation to the previous few years.) but i'm hopeful that he might turn some major corners soon...for his sake and ours!
