captain america party!

we don't do "friend" parties every year. or even every child if we do them some years. but sawyer got a friend party for his 6th birthday (that is actually on the 22nd, but one of his friends is going out of town and we wanted him there!) and he LOVED it.

he had 3 friends over (plus lincoln and levi!) to play some games and eat a simple lunch on a monday afternoon. it was perfect.

he wanted "captain america" everything. and he LOVES marshmallows...

 since it was a weekday...i needed these helpers! they were AMAZING!

 first we did "pin the star on the captain america shield" :-)

 {bailey was my second photographer! ;-)}

 she took a TON of pictures of ME taking pictures - ha!

 then we played wiffle ball.

and then basketball.

 rebekah and joshua made tags for the kids shirts so that they'd know what team they were on :-)

 serious business, huh??

 THEN we surprised them all with water balloons!!

 ate lunch (hot dogs, macaroni and cheese and watermelon) on the porch.

 followed by cake and ice cream.

 

 the crazy crew :-)

 the favor...gumballs in a tube. it was all a hit!
