i'm feeling like the grains of sand in the hourglass are running out too fast in my mornings with these 3 little boys. they play so well together, that it's easy for me to just get "one more thing" done while they play and choose to not engage with them.
sawyer will be in school full day (i know. i'm going to die.) next year and i will miss that little face SO much.
so. this week i made some choices (hard ones. not ready to go there yet. right now we're focusing on the FUN parts!) to be more engaged with them.
yesterday we went to a new farm (to them.)
i made a little scavenger hunt for them. (pinterest. you've got nothing on this one - ha!) took me about 20 seconds. tops.
they LOVED it!
we walked around and saw every animal. like 3 times. you want to see the baby pigs again? sure. i was engaged. and listening. and laughing (because you can't NOT laugh at them!)
"do you smell that?!?"
"it's the pig's POOP!" :-)
1, 2, 3, JUMP!
okay, run, boys, RUN!!!
one down...but not for long!
i wish you could have heard the conversation during the next few...
"is this where we start it?" "is this how it goes backwards?"
