day at the lake

 pat's parents have a lake house a couple hours away. the kids didn't have a swim meet on saturday, so we went and spent the day at the lake with his parents, his sister's family and her in-laws. it was a GREAT day!

 the weather was PERFECT (well, in MY book it was perfect. super hot and sunny. pat would prefer cloudy and cooler... :-))

 we spent most of the day at the dock area. their house is a 1/2 mile or so back from the lake, but their neighborhood has this great area to hang out and launch boats.

 the neighborhood also had a yummy picnic lunch that day - so there were LOTS of kids for our kids to play with!

 so, levi is a CRAZY man at the pool. like, it's nearly impossible to keep him out of the water and he just LOVES it. but he was TERRIFIED of the lake. it was so sad! this was the only way i could get him in, and he was holding on to me for dear life with his arms AND legs. he said he was scared of the fish. :( (i'm going to be honest and say i don't love lake water and the fish nibbling at my legs and the muddy bottom under my feet...but i sucked up all my fears for the sake of this sweet baby)

 he can do just fine without a nap, but he fell asleep in this float with me rocking him back and forth!

 some of the other kids had fishing poles down there, sawyer would have fished ALL day.

 he was just fine staying here...

 pat took the kids (those that wanted to) out on the jetski...

 then we went back to his parents for dinner.

 it was a GREAT day being together and away from "real life". most everyone fell asleep on the way home...it was a LONG day! (lincoln NEVER falls asleep in the car. ever. ever. it's so crazy! it was 10 pm and he was still wide awake?!! crazy kid!)
