a labor of love

rebekah made this poster for her english teacher, ms. haseltine.
she got the idea WEEKS ago. she emailed and asked every member of her class for a memory from their class or a hobby that described them. then she painstakingly made the squares with a ruler. and spent HOURS decorating each one.

her english teacher is very deserving of such a labor of love. she is an AMAZING woman. just one of the things she's done for rebekah is truly given her a love of reading. before, rebekah would read, but she didn't LOVE it. now she LOVES reading.

it's all a surprise and they are giving it to her in class today...right about now! :-)
her teacher also just has such a love for the kids and for LIFE that i know Rebekah will never forget. she will no longer be rebekah's teacher, but she will always remain a friend of our family. we love you, ms. haseltine!!

That is so awesome. I can't imagine where she gets her ideas and generosity from ;)

Thank you...it's not nearly enough to say thank you, but it's all I have. Rebekah, I hope you know how much today meant to me. Every moment from the iPod poems to the "Who's the Best Teacher in the World" game to the poster and the card...I am STILL smiling! I'm sad to no longer be your teacher, but OVERJOYED to call you and your family friends! Sending hugs and love!!!
