day with joshua! start to finish...

today we were in joshua's class for american education week. i'm not going to have much else to talk about this week. this is all i have. it WAS fun!

we spent an hour on math games. sounds boring. it wasn't. there were 8 different games (from the thinkfun company. they were mostly all fun!)
 and sawyer and levi did GREAT!
then we got to eat lunch with him. do they look like brothers or what?!? joshua's friends were making him laugh. i LOVE to see him laugh!
 and this evening was joshua's turn to go christmas shopping! {in case you forgot...i'm taking each kid and giving them $25 to spend on their siblings. i think it's going to be one of the best parts of christmas day. seeing 2 of them shop and think and decide what to get (and add their own money!) has been so so fun!}

I was looking through the Family Christian catalog with Joe next to me, and there was a neat heart shaped necklace with a cross and Joe whispers "Mom! That's what I should get for Julia for Christmas! Is it too expensive? Too fancy? I think she would like it a lot. It's really 'Jesusy'!" so cute. It is a Black Friday door buster deal, but I think I will order it online, since Black Friday door busters mean nothing anymore.

It was the first time he's really thought about getting Julia something for Christmas. His wish list is still The Ridiculata (tm), but it was nice to see him think of his sister for once. This is new.
