food.

i LOVE food.
it's caused me "issues" all my life.
but i'm {mostly} at a pretty good, "healthy" place with it all lately.
healthy choices but not extreme.

i made the YUMMIEST dinner the other night! greek nacho's. it was a recipe from pinterest.

basically, i took pita's, cut them into triangles and baked them.
browned some beef (really it should be lamb. but no lamb here.)
made tzatziki sauce {thanks for that recipe, holly!} and added some more cucumbers and tomatoes on top.
it was SO good. maybe not the least calories or fat, but it felt so fresh!
DEFINITELY getting the ingredients to make tzatziki sauce again next week!
AND...i didn't have time to eat lunch OR dinner yesterday. so, when i FINALLY had a few minutes to think about eating at 8:30 pm, what i REALLY wanted was ice cream. but didn't have time to eat dinner AND dessert. SO...i ate this. can you tell what it is?!?
ice cream with dark chocolate sauce, sprinkles AND chia seeds! (i really don't eat enough protein, so i just got them and am trying to add them to things. you REALLY can't taste them. and they have lots of great stuff in them - fiber, protein..and other stuff that i can't remember.) it was an excellent choice :-)

ooo...those nachos are right up our alley!
could add olives (black or Kalamata) too if you're into that sort of thing!

What a great change of pace! You could do it with chicken too. Totally having this soon.

I tried chia seeds last year because they are supposed to help you sleep. Did not work that well for me. I thought they were horrible (I had the Mila version.) Good luck! :-)
