you know it's going to be good just by the title, right??
she had to wear these shoes today {and the strawberry socks}.
never mind that it's snowy/slushy/icy outside.
she needed to hear the "click click" that they make.
joshua had his 6 year checkup this morning (he's a healthy boy!)
and he had to get 1 shot.
the nurse was trying to tell him that after this shot he won't have to get shots til he's 13 or something.
bailey interrupted.
she says,
"actually {yes...she said "actually" in her cute little voice that grates on my nerves by the end of the day...but i love...i really do} he has to get some shots in a little while because we are going to africa!"
the nurses eyebrows shoot up.
a lot.
before she can say anything, bailey says,
"we are getting 2 brodders."
the nurse looks at me.
i'm smiling.
she says, "you're adopting??"
i say, "yes."
and she says, "that's precious."
you have no idea, nurse lady, no idea.
i hope these 2 new brodders are ready for their sister with the clicking shoes.

Meghan had Dorothy shoes for years! I think she finally stop wearing them at age seven. She even went to see Beauty and the Beast at the Kennedy Center dressed in her Dorothy dress and shoes because she needed to be fancy!! Oh, those were the days!
Someday I will tell you about her first date with Robert G. dressed as Ariel at Tyson's Corner when she was 6 1/2 years old.
Wow that was sweet.
and seriously, 'someday' she and Avery MUST meet.
love her!
i loooooooooveeeee baillllllleeeyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!
and on that happy note, i'm going to bed! :)
xoxo
hahaha!!!! That was wonderful ~ just precious. Sooooooo Bailey and I LOVE your communication Courtney ~ love it.
she just makes me smile. I love that I get to know her.... she is such a fun little girl!!!!
ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Samantha was on the phone with Grandma the other day (Jake's mom) and she told her that when we move to Virginia we are getting two cats, one dog and two brothers. (we hadn't exactly told his parents yet, that will be an obstacle we'll have to just go through, Samantha gave us a jump start ;-)
Oh, and Samantha calls them 'noisy shoes'.
hysterical
callie's new favorite word is actually too!! i would have loved to see bailey's face telling the nurse about her brodders that are waiting for her to come and get them! :)
I think I called them "clack" shoes when I was her age. I had a pair of pink plastic dressup "heels" and i LOVED them. then one day I jumped off the piano bench while I was wearing them and they broke. That was a sad, sad day.
What a priceless conversation with the nurse. And love that on cold winter days with slush and snow she not only chose the red slippers, but also the 3/4 length leggings to leave the bottom half of her legs exposed for all that snow! She is a fashion diva!
