pool day (saturday)

started the day with a good run. i LOVE running at the beach (but not ON the beach. that gets boring super quick). it's flat (so i feel fast :-)) and i just love the salty air! i spent most of that run praying for the fogarty's...knowing they had been traveling all night...(or so i thought!)

after i got back from my run, i checked my email and heard the news that the fogarty's were basically stuck in china and wouldn't be coming home that night. so we weren't heading to richmond that day after all...and now my heart was a mess...worrying and wondering!

we had already decided to spend the morning at the pool...since we thought we were leaving midday to head out of town, so we stuck with that plan.

my dad took the kids on a golf cart ride for a little while...so my mom, sister and i had the quiet pool all to ourselves! 

then they came.

there were some "diving" lessons going on

after lunch, john and pat went golfing. and i took my crew to visit a friend that i haven't seen in YEARS. we've stayed in touch through our computers...so i feel like i peek at her every day :-) but it was SO fun to see her!

 we went to the beach in the early evening to let maddie see the beach!

evenings on the beach are so calm and beautiful.

the kids LOVED getting IN the water!

went back to the house, ate dinner and had birthday cake for my dad!
