rebekah knew she was going to miss sawyer's birthday because she would be at camp, so she decided to take him to lunch this past saturday. they rode bikes to wendy's and starbucks. and, well, i just love her thoughtful and generous heart!
sunday morning she left for camp with hundreds of other kids.
she was 100% excited. (last year she was 50% excited and 50% nervous.) she counted the DAYS...and then hours until she got to go.
we were happy for her. and will miss her. but
even we handled it better than last year. i think we're all learning how to let go bit by bit...i still find myself expecting her to walk through the door...and then remind myself she won't for DAYS. but then i pray for her. and smile. because i know she's having the time of her life!
