lots of time spent fishing.
i'm thinking maybe lincoln should be a doctor. with his brains AND interest in stuff like this! (getting the hooks out of the fish to throw them back in the water...and so gently so that they swim away all fine and dandy!)
joshua helped get the boat ready for us to ride.
it's good to see pat smile in these 2 pictures. does my heart good after some hard days...
celebrated some birthdays :-)
bailey's poor eye was pretty much swollen shut. it was so sad...
even when we're both at our worst, there's no place i'd rather be...
i KNEW they couldn't ride 28 miles ;-) so we spent a day at the farm! picked blackberries AND peaches. and had a sweet time together.
the beginning of a blackberry-peach cobbler for my man.

I know we don't know each other personally, but since I read your blog all the time I feel like I do, so I'm going to just write this comment like we're fast friends. Mmkay? ;)
First of all, Rebecca is getting so grown up! She's SUCH a pretty girl! Our oldest daughter is 11 1/2 and I'm amazed at how much they grow and mature each and every month (it seems!). It's crazy!
Also, love the picture of Sawyer and that tiny fish in the HUGE glove! Way too cute!
Thank you for sharing your life with us (strangers). Seeing a family who has adopted internationally and is so honest about the joys and the struggles is priceless. My husband and I just had "the talk" (the one where we both admit we completely feel like God is calling us to adopt internationally) and having read your blog for so long makes me feel like it's okay to have strong feelings (both positive and challenging!) about it all. So thank you. Thank you for being so...REAL.
Blessings!

We LOVED every second that we had together with our six grandchildren and their wonderful mom and Dad!!! We hope that we created precious memories for the grandchildren...and gave Mom and Dad some time to rest. We love you all!!
Hugs,
Mom/Grandmommy and Dad/Granddad
