pat's parents took lincoln, sawyer and levi for a day and a night before we all met them at their lake house. so i had a day with these 3! i had so much fun planning what we would do together. first, we went on a LOONG bike ride to a new restaurant. it was 14 miles away. i wasn't sure that they could ride that far (and back!) but we shouldn't always do things we KNOW we can do, right? live on the edge a little - ha! it was hard. it had it's moments. we had some bike issues (that ended up with joshua riding bailey's broken PINK bike most of the way and bailey getting to ride his nice, new bike. and he didn't complain ONE bit.) the weather was so beautiful. and it was just fun to have the WHOLE day to do something new and adventurous!
and we made it to the restaurant! after eating a packed lunch before we got there, and sugaring up with orange soda and homemade poptarts (they were amazing! restaurant is called Ted's Bulletin in Reston Town Center), we turned around and rode back home.
it was a 5 hour long adventure...
and we were all SO tired and ready to sit and maybe watch a movie before joshua's baseball game...but as we were riding up the driveway, joshua put the garage door up and bailey tried to ride into the garage and HIT her eye on the bottom of the garage door and gashed her head pretty good. so....off we headed to urgent care for some medical attention. thankfully, she just needed glue and not stitches!
spent the evening watching joshua play baseball (pitched this game!)
and ended the night with some froyo. it was a FULL, fun day!
the next morning we walked to dunkin donuts for breakfast before packing and heading to meet up at the lake for the weekend.
