part of the reason i was so ok with getting our tree before thanksgiving, is that our thanksgiving weekend has become so FULL of fun traditions, i wasn't sure when else we'd do it!
friday morning, we woke up bright and early and the kids did a race in Reston Town Center. EACH of them had a race (they divide it into age groups). it was COLD {ha! theme of our weekend, huh??} but fun.
a friend sent this pic of joshua (#661).
that night, per tradition, pat and i went out and did some christmas shopping, out to dinner AND to a movie! 7 hours. and rebekah babysat! she's awesome and was so excited to do it. even came home to a spotless house.
saturday morning we headed up to hershey park. we've gone for years now and it was a great day. most years we've had friends or family join us. this year it was just us - which ended up being pretty sweet and relaxed.
AND, NO stroller for the first time! pat and i even rode a ride together because all the kids could ride on their own. usually i'm standing and waiting and watching with the baby in the stroller. wow...a new stage of life!
i didn't bring my camera and just had my phone. it was a simple, fun day...enjoying each other and our kids.
stopped at cracker barrel for dinner, and arrived home around 10 pm to a VERY cold house :/
