so
when each of our children turned 2, i made a canvas for them. first, i asked those that knew them well to give me a word that they felt like described that child. i waited until they were 2 because it took that long to really see their personality (well, I could tell before we left the hospital with each one, but, you wanted to make SURE those things were going to stick ;-))
here are the oldest 3 kids' canvases and here is sawyer's canvas.
it's amazing how much they truly capture who they are.
{and sawyer in that 2nd post? his cheeks KILL me! oh, my babies...}
ANYways.
i've had people ask me why i haven't made them for lincoln and levi. well, i wanted to wait until we KNEW them for 2 years, just like their siblings! that happened this past summer. and i started collecting the words. and FINALLY painted the canvases and hung them on their walls!
once again, those that know them captured them beautifully...
lincoln:
and levi:
their room hasn't changed much since we put the bunk beds in and took the crib down. levi can't sleep with ANY thing in his bed, or he won't go to sleep for HOURS. so we cozy him up in footie pj's and he goes right to sleep.
i put lincoln's RIGHT by him so he can read it when he's resting. so that he can read WHO HE TRULY IS instead of believing the things that i imagine must run through his head...

Love this idea! I remember back when you were collecting ideas for Sawyer's. We've been "friends" for a long time! :)
