he was chosen to be one of 25 kids from his school to go to Redskins park and practice football with the Redskins!!
he (we!) didn't find out about it until Thursday...he came home from school and said, "i'm wearing my Cowboys jersey." it wasn't said in an "in your face" way...it just made sense to him and he was factual about it. ha! love that kid!! so so much!
pat was a bit nervous about that decision...but i encouraged him to let joshua do it if he wanted to.
they rode a bus to and from Redskins park. they got to run some drills and eat lunch there. it was part of the "play60" program to keep kids healthy.
one of the players posted this picture on his instagram/twitter account with the words, "Cowboys fans at Redskins park?!?"
Joshua's asst principal (who went with them) said it was a genius move - he said he got a LOT more attention have a cowboys jersey on :-)

So so awesome! Good for him for wearing his jersey! We all have Eagles jerseys with Kolb on the back from when Kevin Kolb was on the team. My husband is also a Philadelphia guy. It makes total sense to us, and we don't wear them to antagonize people here.
I love that he wore his Cowboys jersey! And I really love that he got more attention for doing it! I know that wasn't his goal and he's a kid that deserves that extra attention! :)
