in all honesty, the PLANNING and preparation were more fun than the actual thing. but that's kind of normal, right??
i might have spent a little bit of time in that room yesterday afternoon, just laying on the couch and enjoying the PRETTINESS of it all!
this one taken while laying down :-)
ok. the party. started at 5 pm.
heart pizza's...
WAY too many treats :-) the mustaches were the BEST idea! made them silly and fun! and sawyer and levi are still carrying their skateboards around today. every.where.
both sets of grandparents had sent little treats. and i taped their hearts that we had all written notes to each other on since feb 1, above the treats.
sorry...i couldn't pick!
it WAS fun. they talked so much more about their days than i usually get to hear. they LOVED all the fun food.
but, sadly, i just hit a wall right before it started and was having a hard time doing much more than just BEING there. made me sad. but as i looked around at them, i don't think they were sad :-)
now for part 3 (you won't get many...if any...pics of this one :-)) pat and i are going out to dinner and a movie tonight! i usually don't love to go to movies. if we're going to go out, i want to CONNECT and engage and TALK. ha! i feel SO "talked" out lately...we've talked about our kids and other stuff going on until some nights one of us says, "stop. i can't talk about it ANYmore." i am looking forward to just BEING together. getting lost in a movie and holding his hand and just enjoying the time together.

Very festive! As you hit the wall, I am glad you had a date night to look forward too ;) I think the planning is the most fun part.
LOVE IT WELL DONE.
gLAD YOU BOTH GOT TO GO OUT AND SPEND TIME TOGETHER.
Love it all! What a memory for these kids. They won't even remember you were on the couch (were you on the couch?). They'll remember all the fun stuff there was to do. Great job! I'd be tired too. :) Hope you had a fun date at the movie.
