woke up to about an inch or so of snow. and about 15 degrees. it was a COLD, BEAUTIFUL 5 mile run!! i LOVE running when there is snow on the ground. and it had just fallen, so it was clean and not even plowed yet.
{vulnerable? yes. you shouldn't take pictures of yourself at 5:30 am}
got home to news that there was a 2 hour delay. yay! {you just gotta embrace that kind of stuff, right?}
ate breakfast with some EXCITED children!
then sent the older 3 out to shovel the driveway and sidewalk while i stayed inside with the younger 3. they wanted to go sledding up at the school, but there was NO way the little guys would last outside to shovel AND sled. so...this was the logical plan ;-) they {wisely} didn't argue!
i did a crossfit workout. LOVING them. this pictures was from yesterday...but this is how i look after EVERY workout. the great part?? they usually take under 15 minutes! and i can feel whatever i did for the REST of the day! this is where i get the workouts.
this was at the end of 70 (yes, 70!) burpees. do you know what a burpee is?? i said the word to pat the other day and he acted like i was making up a word. tell me you know what it is.
ok. no more pictures of me...yikes!
i rinsed off (ha!) and got everyone bundled up to go sledding!!!
it was lincoln and levi's FIRST time (i think! we didn't really get any snow last winter...)
levi LOVED it. that didn't surprise us. NO fear with that kid.
for as quiet and timid as this guy is, he was a maniac on the snow! so fun to see!!
i was nervous about lincoln. it was COLD out. and he HATES cold. but he was all smiles and loved it. didn't complain ONCE.
taking it in...
a snow angel.
7 kids. 1 hour out there. no injuries. success! (i had an extra kid)
we had driven up there, they changed out of their snowgear, into their tennis shoes and walked right into the school. i drove from there to drop lincoln off at his school. and came home and STILL can't get warm!
but it was such a perfect, fun morning!!
now to get ready for homework...and basketball night. whew...
