we didn't leave the house until 2:30 pm yesterday. it was so nice!!
i asked sawyer what he wanted to do in the morning. i left it wide open, no suggestions.
he went and got this pile of books and said he wanted to read them all TOGETHER.
oh my heart.
yet i had a few things i "needed" to get done.
so, i made it into a game. he got to pick 2 books for us to read together. then i set a timer for 20 minutes and worked while he and levi played. when the timer went off, he picked 2 more books. it kept us all happy!
i did a test run of the 3 little boys outfits for my sister's wedding (which is NEXT Saturday) last night (pat is going to have to get them dressed that day, i'll be gone helping my sister get ready and he'll be home letting them take naps so they are adorable and cute and fun to be around at the wedding :-))
OH MY GOODNESS.
i (of course!) can NOT show you what they looked like. you are going to have to be patient.
but, TRUST me when i tell you that, next to my sister - who is going to be the most stunning thing in the WORLD that day!!! - my little boys are going to be 2nd in "wow" factor! not bragging. just stating the obvious. i did take a couple pictures. and i might have looked at them for a lot of minutes both last night and today.
so, right, the title...i haven't even touched on that yet. yesterday was quite a day. even though i didn't leave the house, He asked me to give and give and give of myself to others. it was one of those days where i continued to pour out, and He continued to pour into me and there was always enough. just enough. not too little, not too much. things weren't perfect (i was actually walking through/listening/praying for some pretty awful things with friends) but He provided and sustained and was glorified. it was clear and obvious and i wish every day were like that. i went to bed exhausted in a "wow, Lord, You are amazing!" kind of way.
levi prayed the heck out of morning prayer time :-) i love him.
pretty much leaving pat by himself this weekend. yet i'm still making everyone's meals and dressing them. hmm...what?!?
tonight rebekah and i have a FUN mother/daughter event at church. pat and the other kids will still get to do "movie night".
tomorrow (all day and night!!) is my sister's bachelorette party (i'll put dinner in the crock pot for my crew...)
sunday afternoon i have a baby shower for pat's sister.
the kids always love it when they just get dad. he's WAY more fun than mom!
have a great weekend!!!

love the idea of picking out 2 books, setting a timer, then reading again- may give that a try so that we both get what we want/need! ;)
I need to do a better job of "Thank you Lord" at the end of days where He has helped me be enough. You are such a great example.
