party weekend!!!

i think i'm growing up. i made a wise decision, and ate zinga last night instead of writing about my weekend. you are going to get the REAL version now, instead of the "i'm exhausted and can't pick out one more outfit to wear and failed everyone in every way" version. which was ridiculous and was what pat got while we ate our zinga. sorry about that, my love! ;-)

ok. friday night. mother-daughter fashion show at church. precious. fun decorations. yummy dinner. time to BE with rebekah. and be taught about how GOD thinks of us as beautiful and how the world tries to distort what "beauty" is. good stuff!!

and she was in the fashion show!! (i was not. i cheered and took pictures.)
i am so in love with her. she is an awesome girl.

saturday morning.
so, since jan 1, 2012, i've been tracking the miles i run on my phone. i don't really know why. i'm not competitive with time (usually) and i just love to run because i love to run. that's it. no goals really. last thursday, i happened to go into runkeeper (the app that's on my phone) just to see how many miles i'd run this year so far. it was 997!! i don't run on fridays and realized that i was going to run 1,000 miles on saturday!! whoo-hoo!!! kind of fun! i ran 11 miles (met a friend that ran 3 1/2ish with me in the middle) and then came home, drove rebekah to her running club and ran 3 miles with her - it was a cross country route - on trails and mud and hills. fun (and TIRING!) so, i'm at 1,011 miles now. BOOM!

the rest of my family headed off to joshua's football game, and i headed to dc for hannah's bachelorette party!!! it was a blast!

we worked on how we're going to do her hair for THE BIG DAY.

played a fun game. opened some *fun* gifts!

then we headed out for dinner and dancing!!

so, my pics end here, because i went home and they continued to party late into the night. FUN FUN girls!!

sunday we had an exciting morning teaching our 3rd graders (more to come on that! you can join us!!)

and, then that afternoon my family headed to the farm and i went to pat's sister's baby shower!! we are going to be an aunt and uncle!!

we are so excited for them!

i came home and enjoyed a "normal" evening with my family. just cutting boys' hair and starting laundry and giving them baths and getting ready for another week!

such a fun fun weekend...and another one ahead!!!
