afternoon outside

it's a new week.
man, am i glad it's not "the first week of school"!
that was a killer!

 the kids don't have much (if any) homework yet. so we are spending most of our afternoons outside.
they ride bikes, throw whiffle balls to each other, climb trees, try to learn how to ride a skateboard, hit golf balls, push each other in strollers, on and on and on. the combinations of who is playing with who changes about every 5 minutes. i love it. i LOVE that they love to play together. and i LOVE being outside (even though it is like a RAINFOREST lately! so so humid!)

we went for a LONG bike ride this afternoon, also. i pulled levi and sawyer so that we could REALLY go for awhile. we were all a sweaty mess when we got home. but everyone loved it! i took us on paths and ways we've never gone before. it was a sweet afternoon. (and i'll leave it at that. the evening? not so much.)

 joshua and rebekah have spent time almost every day trying to teach themselves how to ride a skateboard.
