headed to the world series!!!!!

ok. i will admit to having somewhat of an attitude at times about the craziness of our schedule this spring. because pat was one of joshua's coaches and because most of joshua and rebekah's practices/games were at the same times, it meant i was managing the 4 younger kids on my own at rebekah's stuff. i hardly got to see joshua's games. and it was a stretch to even watch rebekah's while i was taking kids to the bathroom, etc. but last night?? it was all worth it! eating dinner before the game. i think this was the american league championship? something like that. if they won, they would get to play in the world series on wed nite. if they lost, their season was over.
last night's game was at this field where you got to walk down this HUGE hill and go to the furthest field away. :-)
because rebekah had practice during joshua's game, i (and the rest of the kids) got to walk up and down that hill a lot of times!
one of the other moms texted me when i was picking rebekah from her practice.
"tied 5-5, bottom of the 5th"
i was debating going back to the game or not. it was past bedtime for the little guys, and the game would be mostly over (and we'd have to walk down and up that hill again!)

but after that text? i couldn't stay away! i sped back to the field. we RAN down that hill, levi on a piggyback ride on my back.

and we saw them WIN!!!!!! they scored one more run. it was amazing. i've never been nervous watching a game. my stomach was in KNOTS! (and i knew joshua was SO into it!)

the team we played was so great. it was a great game. and they were good sports (which is more than i can say for some of the other teams we've played.)
so, they play in the "world series" tomorrow night! so so exciting!!!

"Go, Rays!!!"
