fathers day

we were young when we got married. there was a lot i didn't think through. and what kind of dad i thought pat would be was one of them. but i sure am glad it all worked out! ;-)

he's an AMAZING father. a year ago he was welcoming 2 new sons into his arms that needed a dad desperately. and he was willing to go there...as a woman, wife, and mom,  i don't think i'll ever fully realize what the weight of that responsibility feels like on his shoulders.  but he took it on and i'm so very thankful.

he is EXACTLY the kind of man i want my sons (4 of them!) growing up watching and listening to and being taught by. and he is EXACTLY the kind of man i want my daughters growing up being loved by...and expecting any man that will love them one day to cherish them the way he cherishes them.

i'm thankful for him EVERYday, but it's nice to have a day to focus on it! happy father's day, pat.
