a BIG first

we held out for a REALLY long time.
but rebekah went to her first, true sleepover last night (that wasn't grandparents or aunt or at the beach with friends).

it was an ideal situation.
she was just asked yesterday morning. we know the family (EVERY member of the family) pretty well. they have young kids at home. and they would need to be up and at swim team practice early this morning, so i knew they would get SOME sleep.

i'll never be a huge fan of them. they will not be a regular occurance, um, ever (at least that i can see at this point!)

and, for rebekah in particular, she has a HARD time dealing with not sleeping well. it is NOT pretty the next day! (i wouldn't think twice about joshua staying up to go to some sports game with pat until midnight or something. rebekah is another story.)

took this picture last night. most every night of the summer, either rebekah and bailey sleep in joshua and sawyer's room or vice versa. (some nights sawyer sleeps in his bed while joshua sleeps with the girls...depends on who needs how much sleep!) joshua always lets bailey sleep in his bed and he sleeps on the floor. i know. he's the sweetest. it was sad to not have rebekah here...

but she had fun. and is doing ok today...
