it's been building. my awareness of bailey needing me. or, just needing SOMETHING. after today, i'm not sure it's me she needs...it ended up being a hard day.
but, when i looked ahead and saw her and joshua had dentist appts this morning, i planned to keep her home from school the rest of the day and enjoy TIME with her.
my initial plan had to be scrapped, the appts took longer than i was expecting.
she got a filling, so her mouth was numb. no amazing lunch out.
we went to panera and i let you pick ANYTHING from behind the glass! (to have later, when she could feel her mouth again!)
then we went to target and looked at books. she picked 2. i loved holding her hand the whole time.
:-) {we also stopped at mcd's for a smoothie - so she wouldn't be super hungry}
after the whole
debacle when we arrived home, we got the 3 little boys down for their naps, and we did some of the crafts she got for christmas (!) but we haven't had a chance to do yet! {sand art...painting jewelry...}
we played games.
and painted our nails!!!
she wanted EVERY nail painted a different color. 20 different colors. oh, yes. she is that fun!
then it was time to get rebekah and joshua from school. i had her sit on the steps with me for a picture. and asked her what her favorite part of our day was.
she couldn't pick one. "my cinnamon roll. and my new books! and the crafts. and our nails!" :-)
it wasn't long enough. or perfect. but i hope it filled a part of her that needed to be filled. gosh, i love that girl so much.
