update on l and l

just a little, very imcomplete update on lincoln and levi. but some stuff i don't want to forget!

levi is still a monkey. the dude is everywhere. he loves to throw. anything. his new game is to try to throw things as high as he can get them on the bookshelves and get it to stay. never mind if it's a ball. or car. or cup. or doll.
he has 2 months left of his tb medicine (he has had to take a pill everyday for 9 months.) it makes his poop smell SO gross. i mean, i know all poop smells gross. but this is a whole other level. trust me. they come get me out of the POOL at the gym if he poops so i can change his diaper. and i'm not annoyed. because i get it. i wouldn't want that smell in that kids klub room for 1 more minute either! we can't WAIT for that medicine to be DONE!
at someone's suggestion (thank you!) i had levi tested for diabetes - because of his obsession with water. tests came back fine. so that's good. he just loves his water! fine with me :-)
he's getting rolls. in his neck. on his legs. it's so cute. i can't wait for summer to SEE them all the time!
he's truly mine. i mean, things are still growing. but, we GET each other. we communicate with our eyes and smiles. he says, "mama!" with such joy. and my heart loves it. i really can't believe how blessed i am to call this little boy son. i love his run, his smile, his eyes (!), his giggle, his hug before he goes to bed, his gorgeous skin.
and lincoln. there is so much more to say. but, for now, his fingers. i SO wish i had a before picture. ALL of a sudden, lincoln's fingers are like 200% better! all around his nails, the skin was just mutilated. i noticed it from day 1 - i remember showing them to hannah in africa. initially, i thought he must pick at them. and, they actually got worse once we got home. i think he WAS picking at them (i'd have some nervous habits coming into this family, too!) but, as time went on, he wasn't picking at them and they got a little better, but not well. i was convinced it was an effect of poor nutrition. and, wouldn't you know? all of a sudden, 7 months in, his fingers look SO much better! it was almost overnight that it happened! the first section, closest to his nail, still just looks like 1 big scar from all of it. we'll see if that goes away or not, but his fingers just look so much more HEALTHY. it's amazing! i cut his nails for the FIRST time today. (i cut all the other kids nails every few weeks!)
