labor of love
i have a "favorite" song every christmas. it is always different.
this album (Andrew Peterson::Behold the Lamb of God) was my favorite last year - the whole thing. it's not your "typical" christmas album. there aren't any of your traditional christmas songs on it. but it IS the story of Jesus. and it's GREAT!
well, i KNOW i heard this song last year, but THIS year i can't stop listening to it. it's on repeat all.the.time.
her voice is beautiful. and the words?? well, i'm too tired at the moment to go into it, but i can say that the anticipation of celebrating our Savior's birth is hitting me in a whole new way this year. it's all new to me through my 4 year old son's eyes as he watches a family...HIS family... "do" Christmas for the first time in his life AND as my heart recognizes my need for a Savior in a deeper way than ever before.

I love this album and that song in particular. I just started reading the advent devotional that corresponds to the album - good stuff.
andrew peterson was at our church on wednesday night, last practice before the 16 preformances he does at christmas.... LOVED IT! was pretty unfamiliar with him until this year and now we play his behold the lamb of god cd over and over! he has a free downloadable album here....
