we started our thankful tree today. and i brought our thankful journal from the basket to the kitchen counter - we've gotten away from writing in it and this is a good time to have it more on the forefront of our minds. i was more mindful today of things i was thankful for...and this is a good thing. especially on a day that was brutal on my heart.
i hope to share 1 of the many things i'm thankful for each day here...
today::i am thankful that pat got home early because he was in a class. i am thankful that he arrived home at LITERALLY the hardest moment of my day. and he jumped right in. and cared for ME and supported ME before anyone else. i am so thankful for my husband. my favorite moment of the day was laying with him on the couch about 9 pm. neither of us had any words. we.were.spent. this life we are living is not easy. some days it is brutal. but i wouldn't trade it for anything.
