together

took these 3 out the other night for school supplies.
all school supplies, lunch boxes, backpacks and tennis shoes bought for the school year!! in 3 hours!
PLUS we splurged and everyone got a fun treat :-) i love how they all picked something different...
{i had it planned for WEEKS to do this during the day and my mom was going to watch the younger 3. but i had to make the hard decision to not do that, and we went out once pat got home from work. not because my mom wouldn't have been able to handle the younger 3 - they would have been glad to have her versus me this week. but it was just best to go THROUGH all we were dealing with...as hard as it was. more on that next week. i can't go there today. anyways...God was GRACIOUS to make our evening out special and to give me the energy to have fun with them at a time of the day when i am normally crying on my bed!}

and, now, in about an hour, this eldest child of mine and i are headed out together. to a hotel. for some special mother/daughter time! she is growing up and we are going to talk about that (!!!) and just have fun together, too! i'm looking forward to it. she's been looking forward to it for days (she packed like 3 days ago :-))

Glad it was a sweet time with the older three.

Hoping your time with rebekah is very sweet and special. Wow. Can't believe she's this old! You have to share a little bit for those of us approaching this stage...

You are an awesome mommy, they all are blessed but especially rebekah this weekend. I'm sure she will always treasure this time spent with you!

Hi there! We've been in the process of adopting from Rwanda for about 2 years now. On Wednesday we just got our non objection letter and I have dared to dream again. I just found your blog have been glued to it for the last few days. Thank you for the wonderful things you've written about and also for sharing some of your more tender difficult moments. I appreciate your openness. I'm living through your experience right now, holding onto the hope that sometime soon I might be bringing home our own children. Thank you so much!
