lincoln and sawyer's birthday party

our entire {almost} extended family came over on sunday afternoon to help us celebrate.
it was perfect. so fun. which is why it's taken me awhile to post about it.

because every moment since then has been so hard and i just don't have it in me to come up with the words...i will try...because it WAS an amazing evening!!!

it was just simple water fun...and, MAN, was it FUN!!!

 this is what i look like a lot of the time...camera and a smile on my face :-) thanks for capturing it, mom!!!

then we broke out the water balloons!!! we filled them up for 2 days. they were gone in 2 minutes.

somehow papa became the target. even though one of my "rules" had been, "no getting the adults" {he's not really an adult in their minds :-)}

the goal for the food was also simple. and no utensils! sliders and hotdogs, chips, watermelon and grapes.

praying before dinner...holding lincoln's hand...and you can see my dad's hand over BOTH lincoln and ayden's hands. so sweet!

lots of stories and emotions in the faces in these pictures. the looks say a lot to me. can't go there now...

so blessed...a room full of love!

we told them to put their arms around each other. they didn't know what we were saying. so we tried to show them with our arms. this is what we got :-)
