wow

we are home.

got home at lunchtime yesterday...unpacked, started laundry, took a nap, went grocery shopping for the week, took a shower/baths, and went to church.

it was a long day.

last week was SO wonderful. i knew it was as it was happening. but, as i'm realizing all that needs to be done here, the past week seems THAT much more wonderful. it was so nice to {mostly} not think about stressful things. i DID do a lot of planning for our trip to africa. but that was kind of fun...especially to talk through with ali and with pat.

we spent SO many LONG months waiting...and waiting...and waiting...and i just never allowed myself to go to the trip and all that entails. well, now that the shock of getting our approval has worn off, i'm in full-on PLANNING FOR OUR TRIP mode!!! once we get our referral...which is our next step...we could travel 3 weeks later! i want to get as much done now as i can because there is plenty that we can't do until we get our referral also.

random side note: i dropped 3 dozen eggs on the kitchen floor yesterday. and i didn't cry. :-)

i have been doing so many stupid things. my brain is just so FULL and distracted. i can hardly carry on a conversation. well, that is true most of the time. but, it's even worse now.

pat knew i needed something MAJOR to be accomplished in all of my list-making.
so, we checked off "luggage". :-)
we have the luggage we need to go to Africa!!!!!!

there is much yet to do...get...check off....

but, for now, i'm going to enjoy an evening with my husband.

eat some yummy chicken salad for dinner at 9 pm.

and look forward to focusing on Easter tomorrow...the lists will wait.
