{well, maybe not to you, but to me he is. and i want our kids to be able to read this one day. i hope they know it, too. i hope i show it in how i live that i think he's the most amazing. but, i'm afraid i don't all the time. so...here we go!}
this man is so quick to ask for forgiveness and to forgive. i am not. it's so ugly. but he will apologize even when he knows i'm the one that's wrong.
this man still makes my heart beat fast when he grabs my hand. or walks in the door from work {some nights. it depends how many kids are crying/yelling.} but it's not because of him that my heart isn't beating fast for him. it's because my heart is already beating fast in anger or stress and it has no more space for that kind of beating fast.
this man is the most amazing father. i had no idea {obviously} when i married him what kind of dad he would be. but, he's amazing. he goes DEEP with them. and takes his time with them. they have no idea how blessed they are.
this man loves me so perfectly. he knows when to let me be when i'm throwing a fit. or when to tell me to snap out of it. or when to tell me i'm amazing even when i'm clearly NOT. or when to just listen and hold me. he.just.knows. he gives me the strength to be who God calls me to be...or at least to try. he also gives me the strength to fail and lifts me up again.
this man is the hardest worker i know. he does everything 150%. it's just who he is. yes, it drives me crazy sometimes....i mean, EVERYthing doesn't have to be done so well, does it? :-) to him, it does. and he does everything WELL.
this man seeks after God with all his heart. in all he does. when he's alone. when he's with me. when he's with our kids. when he's at work. when he's with friends and family. it is a blessing to live life alongside him.
this man turns 34 today. i've loved him for 15 of those years. i look forward to loving him for many more.
