sweet weekend with sawyer

it was such a sweet weekend with sawyer.
i took no pictures.
sad.
but, i didn't.

we stayed busy.

had the adoption seminar on sat morning (which was AMAZING!!! went so well! SO encouraging!)
pat and the older 3 kids left from there to go camping for 48 hours with 2 other families in our shepherd group.
sawyer and i left and drove a couple hours to visit the Guthries - they moved last year and i hadn't been down to visit them yet!
it was so nice to visit and catch up. and they made us a YUMMY dinner before we headed back home!
as i was driving home, i was in a weird mood.
just didn't want to be "alone"...so i called my parents...hoping they would be home and watching the final 4 basketball games...they were! and they let sawyer and i just drop in and hang out!
we stayed til 10 pm...and sawyer and papa had so much fun together.
it was so nice to just BE with them. so often when we get together there's a "celebration" - which is fun...but also crazy.
sawyer has asked for "papa" ever since we left.

sunday we went to church, then hung out with mary for the afternoon, then went and met Jack Young in the hospital!!! CONGRATULATIONS Brian and Peyton!!!

enjoyed my evening/night alone last night.

and...today...got ready to welcome the rest of the family home along WITH all their many loads of laundry!

i missed them like crazy (so did sawyer!) but it was a very sweet couple days to be with just sawyer!

they had a GREAT time camping and playing and eating and having fun! they all have pink cheeks and smelled filthy and are very tired :-)
