our last day

when we looked at the forecast yesterday for today, it was supposed to rain. all.day.

so, we made a plan...to check out a couple towns close-by and hopefully find something to do and eat lunch out before we headed back for the babies to take naps.

well, we woke up to the most BEAUTIFUL weather this morning! it was amazing!

we still stuck to our plan and drove from emerald isle to morehead city...and then to beaufort. both towns were cute. but we ended up stopping in beaufort and spending the morning there.

we went to a cute museum...and the kids got to do a scavenger hunt for different things around the museum. they loved it.

and we ended our time in beaufort eating lunch.
i mean, seriously?
could it be any more perfect??
perfect weather. perfect friends. perfect setting. just perfect.

as we drove back to the beach house, it started POURING rain. and continued for a couple hours.
it eventually cleared up and we got a couple hours on the beach before heading in to pack and eat dinner...AND snowcones! :-)

today is our last day...we are heading home tomorrow so we can go to our Easter program at church tomorrow night. we are sad to leave...but looking forward to getting home!
