they picked the right day!

the girls both had friends over after school...looks like they picked the right day to come over! :-)

we don't always have such fun after school snacks...but we had to have some fun treats for our weekend away! {is that wrong?? that when i think of vacation i think of junk food??}

i LOVE that rebekah and her friend are playing with babies....still "little girls" in there somewhere... :)

i have spent 3 full days getting ready for this trip! whew! i realized as i got further into packing and all that not only did we have to bring clothes....and all our food...but EVERYTHING else, too - like trash bags and dish soap and sponges...the lists kept getting longer instead of shorter!
but...the car is packed...TONS of yummy food ready to eat! addresses/directions all set, camera's charged, cooler packed and full of ice (the closest grocery store is 45 minutes away! i hope we didn't forget anything!)

joshua was supposed to have a friend over...but he ended up having a hockey game.
so he got FULL access to the wii this afternoon (they can't play during the week....) so he wasn't too sad  :-)

i was thinking about my last post. i'm going to try not to do those anymore...that are like 6 posts in one. it's too hard to process. sometimes that's all i have time to do, though...

well, off we go!
we're headed out as soon as pat gets home from work.
we might squeeze in going to watch joshua's friends' hockey game depending on pat....because we're all set to go and just waiting now!

my prayers for this weekend:
that everyone stays healthy
that pat and i laugh...hard
that the kids feel loved and special
that i only cry because i'm happy
