you want to know one of the main reasons why i've been such a disaster lately??
the afternoons.
first...before we get to 3 pm...i get up at 5:15...workout, clean, play, love, read, feed...all the normal everyday stuff.
at 3 pm, rebekah and joshua are home from school.
bailey and sawyer are waking up.
thankfully there is no more homework!
from 3-4 pm i'm trying to finish up anything that needs to be wrapped up because that's IT for being at home for the day...some days i'm packing dinner to bring with us.
at 4 we head to the pool.
rebekah has swim team from 4:30-5 pm.
she LOVES it!
joshua, bailey, sawyer and i play in a different area of the pool.
actually, sawyer doesn't really like getting in.
which, right now, is fine with me!
he's content to play with a bucket on the edge.
then joshua has swim team from 5-5:30.
he's not sure he loves it.
but i'm glad he's doing it.
at 5:30 we head out.
we either head home to HURRY and eat dinner and get rebekah to soccer practice at 7:15 (til 8:15).
OR we go straight to joshua's baseball game at 6 pm and then sometimes also to rebekah's soccer practice at 7:15.
it's insane.
the days of everyone in bed at 7:30 are non existent and i'm in mourning :-)
it's just last week and this week...while spring sports are overlapping swim team...and i KNOW i chose this...i KNOW that...but it doesn't make it easier!
and this was so sweet...joshua was sitting on the edge...he got upset and thought he was going to drown so he was catching his breath and rebekah happened to be walking by, noticed him and knelt down and talked to him. it was sweet. as she walked past me, i said, "what did he say?" she looked at me with a very perturbed face and said, "he didn't say anything!" typical :-)
and this coming saturday will be:
long run for me, swim team time trials for joshua and rebekah, soccer tournament for rebekah (4! soccer games), baseball game for joshua and play-off football game for pat
insanity, people.
:-)

Just wait until you have two more:) It is a good insanity though! And it is really awesome that you are so busy and still make sure to have your time to exercise too. You have to keep fit to keep that schedule up! Is there anyone locally that you could 'kidpool' with? Maybe do alternate days/weeks bringing the children to their practices? That might make it feel a little less busy.
oh my gosh Courtney...and you breath when?
your word is definitely not bustling. it's far busier than that ;)
I hate to say it but it doesn't really slow down much as they get older. But you already knew that by watching our schedules from across the street. AND we only have TWO!!
um, wow. I think I could do that for 1 week.
maybe.
Wow. No kidding. That's a lot.
