a day in the life

i started out the day yesterday doing this...trying to capture some of the "everyday" moments of our days...it isn't as riveting as i thought it would turn out ;-) but i'm still going to share it...

and...remember we got our approval yesterday? and i forgot to take bailey to her kindergarten registration until the last 10 minutes? i also missed many, many moments of our day...but this is a glimpse!

Morning: reading before my run, getting breakfast on the table, driving to the gym, walking joshua to the bus stop (RIGHT before i got the mail!!! :-))

Early afternoon: Bailey and Sawyer playing, doing a "choo-choo" train through the kitchen, flying Bailey up in the air on my legs (i know...i need to paint my nails! i don't have TIME for things like that!), singing "Jesus Loves Me" to Sawyer before he goes down for his nap, and all the paperwork I went through during naptime

Late afternoon: registering Bailey for kindergarten, homework with Rebekah, Joshua and Bailey cleaning the hardwood floors (we have extra chores for the kids - something new...i'll post about that soon!)

Evening: bathtime, dinner, picked up a dresser for Sawyer off Craig's list once Pat got home, making my menu/grocery list before bed


nothing too amazing about our days...except that i LOVE them...every last moment...
from their sleepy eyes when they wake up
to the constant discipline they require
to the messes i clean up over and over
to the many questions i answer and stories i listen to
to the many hugs and smiles i get
to the privilege it is to be his wife and their mom

i don't take it lightly.
it's a huge responsibility and i feel the magnitude of it every day.
i need His strength and grace to get through each day (sometimes each moment!)

i treasure these days.
