we took joshua out to dinner tonight.
just us and him.
{we were supposed to do it on saturday night...but there was too much snow...we have the BEST babysitter and she was able to come over tonight instead!}
we are pretty intentional about getting one on one time with our kids.
but that means me and joshua or pat and joshua...never BOTH OF US and Joshua.
so we're starting a new tradition in our family: when it's your birthday you get to go out to dinner with mom and dad.
he picked Uno's...but it was closed.
so we went to Red Robin {which was close by}
he has no idea what he wants to be when he grows up.
he kept us updated on the time...minute by minute...with his new watch.
he couldn't carry on a conversation with us until he finished the crossword puzzle on his kids' menu.
he is so cute.
and calm and sweet.
i never want to forget his face when they sang happy birthday to him.
or when his dad told him how proud he was of who he is...of who God made him...

What a handsome little guy Joshua is! You & Pat are doing some of the greatest things to instill how important each of your children are to you. Joshua's smile is very contagious, I immediately smiled when I saw the picture on the blog!
