wow

what a weekend!

Bible study.
8 mile run.
our shower AND tub caulk completely removed.
cracked grout removed.
friends over for dinner.
4(i think?) loads of laundry done.
multiple games of knock-out and candyland played.
shopped for and bought birthday gift for my mom.
painted birthday gift for rebekah's friend (she was invited to the birthday party on friday afternoon - the party was at noon on saturday)
painted baby gift for neighbor.
read books to kids.
took care of all the babies and toddlers at church while getting caught up with a good friend.
watched Little House on the Prairie.
tried to take a nap...but my brain wouldn't let me.
planned Joshua's birthday party (it's in 3 weeks.)
ordered stuff for Joshua's birthday party online.
shopped for the rest of Joshua's birthday gifts.
Joshua's birthday - we're ALL SET AND under budget!
went out to dinner as a family with a gift card after AWANA...it was so fun to be Sun nite but it felt like Sat nite since Pat had off today!
10 mile run.
more laundry.
cinnamon rolls started to finish tomorrow (never got to give Joshua's bus driver a gift for Christmas because of the blizzard...finally getting around to it. better late than never, right??)
cleaned whole house.
deep-cleaned grout on kids' bathroom floor (i always thought the grout was grey! turns out it's white!)
removed caulk in kids' bathroom tub (can you tell the bathrooms upstairs are our focus right now??)
took a nap...and slept this time!
prepped stuff for a special lunch on Wednesday!
watched Bridge to Teribithia with kids.
made dinner.
played outside!
didn't take pictures.
finished bailey's baby book (each of their baby books is from birth-3 years. i never finished her 3rd year.)
started and get caught up on sawyer's baby book to the present!

it was insane.
we got a LOT done.

but...you know how you lay in bed at night and replay your day?
and so many of my days i have regrets...i wish i would have ______.

i would think that i would feel that way right now.
but i don't.
somehow...someway...it seems like we are all happy and filled up with each other even with all we had going on and got accomplished.
maybe it's because everyone is healthy?? (HUGE praise!! NOT taking it for granted!!!)
maybe it's because they played together well??

i don't know.
but i'm thankful.

the only thing i would have liked more of is SLEEP...oh, well.

all those bathroom projects - UGH!! That's a LOT accomplished though - and with happy family time thrown in there, sounds perfect to me! :)

and by the way, do you really put coffee in your frosting for the cinnamon rolls? they look delicious (and a bit exhausting) except for that part of it!

I better not read these types of blog entries. I got nothing accomplished on the couch ;) Sounds like you did enough for the both of us. How are you guys bathing?

okay i'm relieved about the coffee thing. send me what frosting recipe you use....i may get ambitious enough to make these rolls next week after i get back. it would be a fun, yummy, early valentines day thing i think.
