my uncle has season tickets and invited pat and joshua to go to this game way back in Sept{remember??}
my uncle and cousin were going to go with them but weren't able to make it...so pat took rebekah and his friend, brian.
they were sad richard and chris couldn't make it...they were really looking forward to the time together!
joshua has been SO excited.
had his pen and paper ready to write down the score {he's like rain man...so obsessed with numbers...}
and it was so fun for rebekah to get to go...
but made it that much harder for bailey to be left behind {the game doesn't start til 8 pm...way too late for her}
her little heart was broken.
but recovered quickly.
it's amazing how "simple" life is with just a 4 year old and 17 month old {relatively speaking...when i just had that it was hard...but now it feels easy}
such simple things go so far with them!
we went to the library and got more books.
and took our time.
and read some there.
i chased sawyer around.
and rolled cars with him.
we watched Beauty and the Beast.
{"mom! just wait! the beast changes into another daddy at the end. i saw it in a book!"}
and she's asleep in my bed.
and i'm looking forward to an evening of getting a few things done.
and maybe...just maybe...sitting on the couch with a viennese crescent {my favorite favorite cookie!} and the fire going and read or something luxurious like that. i've been hoping for a night that looks like that all Christmas season and maybe i'll get it now that it's all over.

Oh, Corey will be jealous! He saw some pics on your blog when I was looking at it the other day and said, "Are they Cowboys fans?!" Just one more thing we have in common! :)
That picture of you 2 on the couch is super sweet! It is amazing how much easier life seems when a couple of kids are gone. I'm sure it didn't seem easy when we had only our first 2! Funny how things change....

what a great picture of pat and the older two - looks so great! and bailey and her broken heart. isn't it hard? i hate that..when you know it's the best scenario, but you just hate it when they can't ALL do it. Poor thing. glad you got a quiet night out of the deal though!
