not nice and neat...

this post isn't going to be nice and neat.
but here's what i have today...

hi there!
it's monday.
we had a good weekend...even though it was freezing and rainy the whole weekend.
i love being with my husband and kids.
and i love getting little projects done.
and i love making progress on BIG projects that mean a lot to me!
{more on that soon!}

i got the girls these pink boots at walmart about a month ago.
i love them.
then i saw them in MY size the other day!
so i got them :-)
we all wore them to church on sunday {come one! it had been raining for like 5 days at that point!}

i remembered why i hardly ever bake.
because i have no self control.

i love my kids so much {duh!}
but i don't think i tell them enough.
i always tell them when they are leaving (heading out the door to school) or when i'm tucking them in bed...but not that often just during the day.

i've been trying to tell them more often.
just at random times.
i caught bailey's smile when i told her "hey bailey! i love you!" while we were playing pictionary today.

and the sun came OUT today!
hip hip hooray!
and the living room window treatments are DONE.
i don't have the energy or time or money to do something amazing.
here it is.
and i'm happy with it.
and stuck to my budget.
got the rod off craigslist for $15.
the sheers from target.

unfortunately i decided that this room needs a rug in it to feel "done."
not in the budget right now.
oh well.
moving on.

we've stayed healthy so far.
SO thankful for that!
every day i'm SO thankful...not taking that for granted at all!

but sawyer started with a nasty cough yesterday.
and today he's "barking" and having trouble breathing.
i'm trying not to panic before i get him into the dr this afternoon...
and i'm really not looking forward to taking all 4 kids in that dr office.
when i called to make the appt, the nurse said, "come in and check in, grab a mask for everyone and wait out in the hallway."
thanks, lady.
way to calm my nerves!

it sounds like croup??? try a hot steamy shower with him or open the freezer and let him breathe cold air. (maybe you already know all of this - sorry :) ) all three of my girls have fevers over 102 degrees today and feel crummy! scott is gone for the week and i am just trying to get through the day - one second at a time. i feel like i need about 6 extra hands to wipe their snotty noses and a way bigger lap to hold them all at one time and cuddle them. hope that the rest of you stay healthy! LOVE the boots! so cute! those pink feet made me smile and i needed that today so thank you!

The curtains look great, glad to hear that Sawyer is better and that it's just croup. Too cute on the boots.
