she's a 3rd grader

as if it wasn't already hard enough...she didn't feel well.
her throat hurt all day yesterday.
she said it still hurt this morning...but no fever so i gave her some tylenol {it has to help, right??} and tried not to dwell on it.

i wouldn't say she was "excited"...i think she's realizing school is lots of work in addition to friends and fun.
but she didn't cry either.
{and neither did i!}
she seemed ready.

i took pictures of the 2 of them...but joshua doesn't go to school until the afternoon (half-day kindergarten...LOVE that!)

i just love all the NEW shoes on the first day of school!

we had to run in the rain this morning (man...seeing that alarm clock at 5:15 am was HARD! it's been MONTHS!)
but, thankfully, the rain stopped by the time we walked up to the school.
normally pat drops her off on his way to work.
but she wanted us all to walk her today.

which we GLADLY did!
one last shot (she's about to walk through the doors)!
have a GREAT first day of 3rd grade, rebekah!!!

They look so grown up!! I'm sure they will both have a great first day - can't wait to hear all about it! :)

PS. Just thinking about 5:15am makes me want to cry! You are a superstar!

Ah Courtney! Brought back wonderful memories of days past. Sorry Rebekah didn't feel well, I'll be praying that she feels much better throughout the day. Hard to believe that Joshua is going to Kindergarten. Love the picture of the two of them, their love for one another shows strongly. It will be nice for you to have a quiet afternoon.....regrouping for the return of the troops!!!

Wow so sweet, unbelievable, it goes by so fast, wasn't it just yesterday we were in playgroup (only 2 kids a piece) and now a 3rd grader and a kindergartner, thank God we still have two little ones.

She looks so great! The hair, the outfit! What a knockout of a 3rd grader! And are my eyes deceiving me, or do I see two front teeth in Joshua's mouth?
