we had a lemonade stand to raise money for water4christmas.
we started preparing yesterday...making signs...and food...
the kids helped with each part.
waiting expectantly for customers.
we made $26 in 2 hours!
that's water for 1 person (plus a little extra) for LIFE.
we made a difference in 1 person's life today.
loved hearing the kids try to explain it to people :-)
rebekah did a great job...very serious and accurate.
joshua passed the torch to rebekah.
and bailey went on and on, "well, if people don't have food or water they will die. and so we have to give them food and water. but they live far away. in afwica. so we will send them money. because they don't want to drink potty water. but if they come here i will give them all the rice krispie treats. so they won't die. but maybe their belly will hurt if they eat them all."

Oh man, I am so sorry we missed this event. You will have to do it again so my kids can empty their banks for a good cause!

OH MY GOODNESS!! Bailey's explanation has me rolling!! That is so accurate through the eyes of a 3 year old....the potty water, the wishing to give them all the rice crispies but afraid their stomachs would hurt...priceless!
