the 2 sick ones are very sick.
every 20 minutes.
it's SO sad.
but i'm thankful they can make it to the bathroom in time {most of the time!}
the younger 2 have tons of energy.
the combination of the older 2 and the younger 2 is hard.
sawyer is only happy when he's either eating or sleeping {i think he has a couple teeth coming in}.
but i'm thankful he's eating and sleeping pretty well.
i am tired.
and my heart just isn't "ok" when my kids are sick.
i wish i could sit and just hold each of them.
but i'm thankful that i'm healthy and can take care of them.
a couple funny things from the only one that can talk right now {bailey}...
we were "eating" lunch {i couldn't eat anything...i get queasy around all this stuff! she was eating the blandest stuff i could think of...i just might see it again you know} and she took a big sip of water and proceeded to bend over and spit it in her lap!
"bailey! what ARE you doing??!"
"i just spit out my water. am i sick?" {i think she thinks laying on the couch watching TV looks fun...if she only knew what they FELT like}
then, a little while later...
i sat with joshua for a few minutes. then prayed for him.
then i moved over and sat with rebekah. and prayed for her.
bailey jumped on the other couch and said, "mom, can you come watch over me?"
oh. yes. sweet girl. i jumped right over there and prayed for her.
this is a hard day.
lots of NEEDS.
nothing on my "list" or "agenda" getting done.
but, i pray every morning for God to walk with me. to guide me. to show me what He would have me to do or not do.
and today it's clear.
crystal clear.
love these kids.
stop everything else.
pray with them and for them.
hug them.
kiss them {but not on the face!}
hold back their hair.
wipe their face.
in a weird way, i'm thankful for this day to JUST be a mom.
{but i'm also praying it's JUST for today!!!} :-)

Oh, Courtney! I'm so sorry! Ugh - what a way to start a new week :( Hang in there. I will be praying for the sick ones AND the healthy ones - that they stay healthy, and especially that YOU don't catch whatever they have! Love you!
Isn't that the good thing about sick kiddos? If you can actually call it good ;-) How it reminds us to slow down and just love on them? GOOD for you for doing that and letting everything else go. It's hard to do, but the right thing for sure! I will try to remember your example next time we have that situation at our house.
Courtney I am so sorry!!! will be thinking of YOU and sending lots of love your way... :)
Oh man I hate it when this happens! I thought you were going to make it with out the kids getting sick this year! Darn it!
