the day before...

yesterday was crazy for me. emotionally.
i was a wreck with my nerves!

but we had a fun adventure.
you have to pick your packet up for the race the day before.
it takes about 1 1/2 hrs to get to where my race was (30 minutes to drive to the Metro and then 45 minutes to ride the Metro into DC)
so, after the kids' naps (i tried to take one, but i was too nervous!) we left to pick Pat up at work on the way to the Metro.
i packed our dinner and we ate it there.
got my packet and Pat was able to see exactly where he was going to have to go the next morning.
the kids did great.
we didn't get home til 9:30 pm, not my plan, i should have been in bed about then...
but got the kids in bed, figured out FINALLY what i was going to wear, got all my stuff laid out, got the kids stuff laid out and got to bed about 10:30 pm.
it took me awhile to fall asleep but i finally did.

the kids LOVED riding the metro :-)

sawyer was a trooper on pat's back

GREAT job!
And well done, Pat.

I still feel the pain in my thighs from running the final 5 of the full with Christy- what- like 10 years ago- it was that final hill!

I'd say that's quite an accomplishment! How fun!
