saturday

we decorated for christmas on friday - all except the tree.
so we did the tree on saturday.
our "normal" tradition for getting our tree is going to Home Depot (seriously)
but this year we decided to go cut a tree down.
it was SO fun - it's our new tradition!

the weather was perfect.

bailey would turn around and back through the trees so they wouldn't hurt her face - pretty smart! (and cute)

it was hard to catch joshua in a picture.
he loved running around!

walking through the trees.
this place was amazing. SO many trees!

and just to prove sawyer and i were there.
(where did all those lines on my face come from?? i'm looking SO old! i also have this thing going on with my face as a result of running in the freezing temps in the morning and i hope that's part of it. my face is SO chapped right now)

dragging our tree back.

then we got apple cider and peanuts while we waited for the guy to bind up our tree.

and home to decorate it!!!

my water ornament.

look closely in the gold ball. you can see Sawyer and i.

i made shirts for the girls for today. :-)
bailey's says, "fa la la"

after we put the kids to bed (fed them mac and cheese for dinner)
pat and i ordered chinese and had a nice evening together. good conversation. great man.
what a day.

If I waited to read this post maybe I would have seen that you did get great Pat time...oh and yummy chinese, that always says love to me :) And what fun going to cut down a tree... super cool. Also, I noticed Rebekah's shirt first while decorating the tree and thought, I bet she made that.... I LOVE THOSE SHIRTS!!!! You are such a STAR. I wish I could sew...I need to learn, you are so awesome!!!

I want a shirt like that too! Maybe we could have a "project" when we're all together in Jan! We could each bring a shirt (for ourselves or a child) and you could help me figure out what supplies to have on hand....let me know!
