close to the perfect day...

remember my perfect day?

well, it's been pretty close today.

started out with a GOOD run WITH a friend that knows my heart.

then, my parents took our oldest 3 and my brother's 2 girls shopping for Christmas gifts for each other.

it's a tradition that WE (my 3 siblings and i) did as kids...and they are continuing it with their grandchildren. so special.

so, it was pat and i and sawyer for about 5 hours!

we did some christmas shopping, ate lunch together (included a diet coke!), and then went to an antique store.

pat and i had some really great conversations today. i'm so thankful for him. today has been such a gift. i was so focused on last night for the past couple days, that i didn't really realize what today was going to end up looking like. it just sort of happened. and all of a sudden, i was in the middle of a day that was so perfect!

i had NEVER stepped foot in an antique store before today.

i LOVED it! i could just feel all the treasures waiting to be found.

pat and sawyer handled it beautifully. and i walked away with a few things.

the towel bar in our bathroom has been laying on the floor for months...after joshua tried to do a pull-up on it...and i found this to replace it!

and some vintage (i have no idea...but maybe?) ornaments and some fun ribbon (i have a slight obsession with ribbon).

the kids got home a little while ago.
i'm sure my mom will have more pictures posted on her blog later...
they had so much fun and will sleep good tonight! :-)
off to make dinner for some friends that are coming over!
(the house is still pretty clean from last night...the floor still hasn't been re-swept or re-mopped and it doesn't look too bad!)
pretty close to perfect, huh?

Once you step foot into an antique store, you become addicted for life. SERIOUSLY. I could go every single day. I love finding treasures. We need to have a date day and go together!
