oh, my soul

i love how my blog friend, cassie, says "oh, my heart" - it's a great expression for many things that happen in my day.

last night, my insides were screaming, "oh, my soul"

we hadn't been to church in a couple weeks - because we were going and coming from vacation.

we made it to church last night (because we wanted to go to the farm this morning) and i just kept thinking, "oh, my soul".

i'm not going to get on a soapbox or anything about corporate worship.

i'm just going to say, i needed it last night. and i didn't realize how much i needed it til i was there. and almost every word i sung made me tear up.

oh, my soul.

on a different note:
this morning we went to the farm and dug up potatoes! a new, cool experience for all of us!

then we went into the town right by the farm because they were having their fair.
face painting

crafts

cool weather.
fair smells.
a fire truck to look at.
yummy food.
and a very sweet 2 month old!

I can totally relate. Every time I go back to the States and get to sing worship songs in ENGLISH and hear a sermon in ENGLISH... I cry... the whole time I am back. It is so refreshing. I miss it!

WOW - digging up potatoes! That is definitely a new one for me! All that bending over couldn't have felt great, although better than when you were 8 months pregnant, right? Glad church was able to feed your soul last night too. You have to get your tank filled up for sure. You can't replace that corporate worship with anything!
