2 months old

sawyer was 2 months old yesterday.
and so it begins for him - i'm a day late.
oh well.

he weighs 12 lb 1 oz.
Rebekah was 10 lb
Joshua was 14 lb
Bailey was 12 lb 7 oz

he's right in the middle...i don't think he'll be in 0-3 month clothes for much longer!

his head is small - but we knew that - and i'm thinking it's from being jammed down so low for the last 3 months of my pregnancy. they aren't concerned about it.

he's back to waking up once during the night again. which is all fine and good (and to be expected of a 2 month old) but it is hard to not know what my morning will look like.
for example: i wanted to run this morning - i have to get up at 5:15 am to get 3 miles in before i need to get everyone and everything (lunches, etc) ready for our day. but sawyer woke up at 4:45 am to nurse. so, my choices were either: just go ahead and run once he was done eating and be up from 4:45 am through the WHOLE DAY or go back to bed and try to get another hour of sleep. i chose the latter...but i was totally annoyed. i wanted to run. but i can't count on it.

ok. what else is sawyer doing?

he smiles a lot. so cute! sticks his tongue out when he does it.
he talks a lot. also so cute (really what ISN'T cute about a 2 month old?)
he sleeps pretty well during the day - still will fall asleep in his carseat or in the stroller.
he likes the pacifier but can't keep it in. which is fine. he doesn't need it to sleep.

this is his favorite position. which is nice at certain times...not so much when i need to make lunch, or dinner, or tie someone's shoe, or do the dishes, or fold the laundry, or wipe someone's bottom...

we love him. i can't really remember our life and our family without him.
the kids love him. no issues really. they just love him.

I TOTALLY Love that picture of you holding Sawyer...He's just looking at you...so peacefully. And I love that you can see the necklace in it too!!! He's such a dollbaby!

I pray you really enjoyed writing that post. It was so fun to hear about Sawyer! You are a super mom and those kids are blessed to have you.

Remember, this is just a season of life... you will be running again soon!

He's blessed to have you as his mom. Don't sweat the small stuff, this too shall pass.

Um. How is he already 2 months old? I am so sure! I'm with you - I HATED not knowing what my mornings (or my days!) looked like. You'll be back to your old schedule in no time! :)
