this might be a little wierd. posting about Cecil's viewing. but i want to remember this. we originally weren't planning on taking the kids INTO the viewing.
the morning that we were heading down to NC for the viewing Rebekah asked, "Can i see Cecil where we're there?"
me: (thinking she doesn't really get it) "Well, he's dead Rebekah. I don't think you'd want to see him."
Rebekah: "I know he's dead. I NEED to see him. I'm a little kid and it's going to be a LONG time before i get to heaven to see him again. so i need to see him one more time!"
we talked a little bit about it. and decided she really did get it. and wanted to see him. she did and i think it was a good thing for her. aren't kids minds so great?

Oh Courtney, your Rebekah so gets it! It brought tears to my eyes as I read that. What a wonderful opportunity to "teach your child". You & Pat are doing an awesome job in raising your children to love God. Don't allow Satan to discourage you, just keep on being faithful.
She does get it. And bless her heart for being able to communicate to you what she needed. Sweet sweet Rebekah.
